Hey, thanks for stopping by!
I'm Adam Rockwell. I’m a writer, essayist, ruminator, and whale watcher on the Oregon Coast.
Here’s what happens around here:
✏️ Weekly story-driven essays every Wednesday (or so): observations, oddities, and small-town strangeness
📚 Fiction and the occasional (serialized) novel — like The Unexpected Exorcist, which is now available in Kindle and other ebook formats! Here’s a link to the Kindle (and soon in paperback): Link To Book
All stories and essays are free to read. Except The Unexpected Exorcist which my publisher made me paywall due to “rights” or some other legalese.
Paid subscribers help keep the writing going and will get digital collections, physical books, and other small surprises as thanks.
On weekends, you’ll probably find me somewhere along the coast, looking for agates in the rain, wondering why Oregonians hate umbrellas. ☔️ (it’s the wind and we’ve given up on trying to stop getting wet 😸)
Thanks for reading, I’m glad you’re here!
~Adam
I love finding gems at agate beach. I lived in OR for 30 years and always went to Yachats on my bday! It IS a perfect place to write and think.
Well, well, Adam. I jumped here from someone's note where you said something clever, then your start here entertained me.
Actually, I was also confused since triweekly has two meanings -- either three times a week or every third week.
I figured you had to be screwing with us if you posted every third week.
So subbed I am!
Looking forward to getting to know you, Adam 🤗
