$85 for a pretty framed piece of art made with recycled sea glass and pebbles; $25 for a box set of sun print cards, and eight stickers to (five for me and three for Finny) $30. Ha!! Pretty close to his guess. I spent $140 at the art fair and met three wonderful Oregon artists.

Hooray, you're back!!! 😀 Congrats on the baking adventure, "pizza is just baking!". Just for fun, if you're interested in other pizza authors, Ali Stafford has a great Substack, Pizza Every Friday, chock full of tips and tricks (and great gift ideas for anyone in your household that might like to get you something pizza-ish to add to your baking stash). Loved this newsletter, Adam.

Thanks so much, Mary!

Also, I had no idea there was a pizza specific substack. I defintely need to subscribe.

They are so good. I've eaten them my whole life, but not until recently did I realize how important the quality is, as with sardines.

I was kinda wondering where you were—but now knowing you were baking loaves and pizza, you get a pass! Knowing as well your lovely part of the Oregon coast, I sympathize with the lack of an eclectic and “plant-based” smorgasbord of restaurant choices in those parts. When we visit, which is typically in Manzanita, with forays into either Cannon Beach or down to Lincoln City, we usually always get a Fultano’s pie with veggies and extra mushrooms. I’m waiting for the day they carry vegan cheese.

LOL! Actually, I do remember that fun fact about your son! You mentioned Papa Murphy’s…. Their branch here now carry vegan cheese so during those times when we need a quick dinner, and don’t want to cook, we’ll do a vegan veggie deep dish. Pretty good. Although, like yours, if I have the time, we much prefer our homemade pizzas with homemade dough!!! Go BEAVERS!

Go Beavers! You know, now that you mention it, I saw it at ours too. Since Fineas is a vegeterian I didn't think about it, but I actually really like vegan cheese.

Okay, it’s gotta be said…”Fineas” is an AWESOME name!!! Well done dad! Was he named after anyone? And he’s made the decision to be vegetarian—was that on his own or was he influenced by someone or something?

Thanks, Kert. We wanted to call him "Fin," but decided it was too plain. So we landed on Fineas, instead of the more popular Finneas, purely for the reason that we liked it. Apparently there are a lot of Fineas Rockwells in Ireland, although we are English/German LOL.

Thanks Kert! I think I told you before, but our son is a vegeterian too, so we understand the difficulty of finding a place. It seems like Cannon Beach might have some of the widest arrays of food. And fried fish LOL. I don't know if you know this, but over in Corvallis is Woodstocks Pizza, and they have vegan pizza with vegan cheese, although it's a bit of a drive, it's one of my favorites.
