Keep us posted on our the restaurant seating manifestation goes! I have goo parking karma too, so I’d love to know if I can expand my reach… And thank you for the shout out!
I’d sacrifice an entire bag of Doritos even if I didn’t get a parking spot. Now, if we were discussing Cheetos as the sacrificial lamb, it better be a primo parking spot! 😆
True, Cheetos are definitely superior. I like doritos, but even Fritos area better. My son gets some Super Spicy Lime Cheetos that I can't barely smell without feeling ill. Great, now I know I'll be getting Cheetos tomorrow.
There has always been something about living near a coast that makes me feel that I'm "in" the world - somehow more so than living in proximity to mountains. When I returned to the States with my family from Australia as a kid, it astonished me, moving to Idaho, that there were kids at my junior high school who had never seen the ocean. Where I lived in Perth I was maybe 15 km at most from the Indian Ocean coast.
I always wanted to live on the Pacific. I thought it would be California, but I prefer the cold let weather here. Very rugged definitely makes you feel “in it” as in nature.
I’ve been the long-time beneficiary of my very own parking goddess, Gladys. When searching, the proper incantation is: Gladys, Gladys, parking goddess, help us find a parking spotess. An alternate more desperate version: Gladys, Gladys, full of grace, help us find a parking space. It costs nothing to invoke her assistance, but she does like to be recognized and appreciated.
Where I live, Lake Superior has some very fetching rocks and cliffs. We only climb on them when the lake is calmer than normal which is usually a sunny day in July and not every day is sunny in July nor is the lake ever very calm. We're in Northern Ontario.
I know in downstate Michigan, people get swept off piers in Lake Michigan quite often, even though they warn people not to walk on them during bad weather.
Adam, I know what you mean about being in a beautiful place where everything becomes new every morning. But after a while, if you aren't paying attention, the view becomes uninspiring. I make it a point to get outside during storms, especially thunderstorms and I carry an umbrella out on the dock and stay out as long as possible whether I'm soaked or not.
Whales we never see, nor pelicans but eagles, otters and bears, yes. No Very Large Lake Sturgeons, but if I think about them when I'm swimming, I get freaked out! Great story as usual! Thank you!
LOL I love your adventures, and manifesting parking spaces. That family was sooo lucky, but not the kind of dinner show you wanted. 😉
Thanks Ann!!l I should be manifesting people not going out on those rocks. 🧙
LOL

I would sacrifice an ENTIRE bag of Doritos to the Seagulls if it meant a parking spot at Tidal Raves.

Just glad you left the mention of “Funyuns” out.

Those folks standing on the rock outcropping were way more daring than I would have been. I have major respect for the ocean and her ways/waves!
Since we’ve been here I’ve become more and more cautious. Total respect! 🌊🙏

Manifesto and Gladys are co-deity parking wizards 🧙🧙♀️🏁
I almost fell for it, you Kindle pusher! Seriously, I'm going to need to get a print copy, your late, great father is one of my artistic heroes.
LOL, I am a Kindle pusher. Thanks George.
